Well… I hopped onto Facebook this morning and what jumped out at me…. a Facebook post from Simplicity!
Simplicity was having a sale and all their patterns were only $3.99.
So what’s a girl to do when Simplicity has a sale like that?
Naturally out of simple curiosity she goes and has a little peak… doesn’t she?
And then the next thing you know there’s patterns jumping in her shopping cart…. not 1, not 2, not even 3… 7 of them jumped in that darn cart. But hey they were only $3.99 and I didn’t want to miss out on such a great opportunity and they were obviously meant for me!
Here’s a sneak peak at what jumped into my Simplicity shopping cart…
So as you can see I got myself a bargain with these and I think they should keep me busy for a while. I’ll tell you about the other patterns I ordered from Vogue this week in another post… I don’t want my hubby to find out about them all… not just yet anyway LOL
The great thing about downloadable patterns for me is that I can access them so much faster and it’s much cheaper then paying for postage over to Australia and it’s so much faster. I live in a remote mining town called Port Hedland and postage usually takes several weeks for things to arrive from overseas.
The cost of postage would have been even more expensive than all the patterns… it was going to cost me almost $80 so I went back in and edited my shopping cart and changed them all to downloadable patterns and ended up removing any patterns that I couldn’t download.
I suppose one of the good things about downloadable patterns is I don’t have to trace out my patterns as I can simply cut these up and then print them out again when I want to sew something else with the pattern again.
Do you take advantage of deals like these and stock up on patterns too or is it just me? Gosh I hope I’m not the only one!
I don’t think we can ever have too many patterns in our collection do you?
